Putting DTP Group on the First Page Alongside Oracle and IBM

Headline Results

The Brief

DTP had already been investing in SEO, but the results weren’t translating into meaningful commercial value. They wanted to make organic search a more effective lead generation channel, driving more qualified enquiries through their key commercial pages while strengthening their online presence and authority in a competitive market.

We were brought in to help bridge the gap between SEO performance and business growth, ensuring their investment delivered measurable commercial results.

Our Approach

Our initial audit revealed that DTP had previously consolidated its website, removing a significant number of well-performing pages in favour of a more streamlined structure. While the intention was to simplify the site, the changes had gone too far, resulting in a loss of valuable keyword rankings and organic visibility.

We conducted a Search Landscape Analysis and in-depth keyword research to identify where opportunities had been lost and where the greatest potential for growth existed. Using these insights, we worked closely with the DTP team to reintroduce strategically important pages, strengthen existing content and ensure the website was better aligned with how potential customers were searching.

With established technology giants dominating the search results for many of DTP’s priority keywords, we also recognised the importance of building the site’s authority. Our strategy therefore combined on-site improvements with content and Digital PR activity designed to help DTP compete more effectively in a highly competitive search landscape.

Our approach included:

  • Search Landscape Analysis: identifying keyword opportunities, competitor strengths and gaps in the existing site structure.
  • Service page optimisation: improving commercially important pages to increase visibility and drive qualified enquiries.
  • Refocused informational content strategy: aligning supporting content with relevant search demand and commercial priorities.
  • Link magnet assets: developing valuable resources designed to attract relevant, authoritative backlinks.
  • Thought leadership and Digital PR: building brand visibility, credibility and authority within the technology sector.

Highlights

We identified early on that strengthening DTP’s domain authority would be essential to competing with some of the biggest names in the technology industry.

To support this, we developed two Link Magnet assets targeting topics that journalists, writers and researchers regularly search for when sourcing statistics and supporting information for their articles. By creating genuinely useful resources, we could attract backlinks naturally, without the need for ongoing outreach.

Over the last 12 months, these two assets have attracted 108 organic backlinks from 72 unique referring domains, including industry publications such as Windows Central, Computer Weekly, Tech Centurion and Techcratic.

Since partnering with DTP, we’ve delivered significant improvements in organic visibility, authority and lead generation, helping turn SEO into a channel that contributes measurable commercial value to the business.
